Poison Apples Roller Derby
We are a non-profit organization fostering the amateur local, regional, and national sport of Flat Track Roller Derby in the Greater Huntington, West Virginia area. Poison Apples Roller Derby is a completely volunteer-based sports league supported by sponsors, donations, member support, and fundraisers. Our objectives are to promote the sport of women’s roller derby by fostering local, state, national and international amateur sports competitions and provide the skills and training necessary for participation in local, state, national and inter-league competitions.
Our primary goal is to promote strength, self-esteem, and create a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among its members. We embrace members of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and skill levels. League Members work to increase their skills through education, discipline, hard work, and focus. Poison Apples are proud to carry on the tradition of Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby and strives to create an atmosphere that inspires women and men to embrace their inner strength while entertaining fans and enriching the community.
We are deeply involved with the community, supporting the Greater Huntington, WV area. Through participation in community events such as parades, conventions, sports tournaments, and other community activities, and charitable donations we are able to educate the community about the sport and our organization.
